Approach the Throne of the Dead, it will not bite. It is frozen in time, but what time, I can not say. This is a dark pencil illustration by M. R. Kessell, utilizing his stream-of-consciousness drawing technique, beginning with abstract forms and discovering details revealed by the random pencil marks and textures.

Most likely inspired from deep within memory by H. R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński, but also somewhat inspired by ideas of paganism, mythology, and natural history.
